  1. The Data We Collect
When you purchase an eBook, we collect:
  • Identity Data: Name and Billing Address.
  • Contact Data: Email address (to send the download link).
  • Transaction Data: Payment details (processed by Stripe) and purchase history.
  • Technical Data: IP address and browser type (for fraud prevention and analytics).
  1. Legal Basis & Sharing Data (Stripe)

Under UK GDPR, you need a “legal basis” to process data. For selling books, this is “Contractual necessity” (to deliver the book) and “Legal obligation” (for tax records).

How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:

  1. Process your payment and deliver your download link (Legitimate Interest/Contract).
  2. Keep records for HMRC tax compliance (Legal Obligation).

Payment Processing (Stripe):
We do not store your full credit card details. Payment information is collected directly by Stripe (Stripe Payments UK Limited), our payment service provider. Stripe acts as a “Data Processor.” Your data is transmitted via SSL encryption and stored in accordance with PCI standards.

  1. Your Rights (Subject Access Request)

Your Data Protection Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Erasure: Request that we delete your personal data (though we may retain records for tax purposes as required by HMRC).
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.

To exercise these rights, contact us at bathwickhill@europe.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office).
